The municipal preschool operations with us are the largest in the city of Stockholm, and we continuously and systematically work on the development of the operations based on the competent child and a learning organization.

Welcome to us

Area 5 is located in the Hägersten/Älvsjö district administration, which includes nine preschools.

In the unit, there is a Finnish-speaking children's group where we are now looking for a Finnish-speaking childcare worker. We operate based on a common value base and vision where participation and influence are two of our cornerstones. We are a strong unit where we have a well-developed organization for collegial learning between and within our preschools. We work exploratively, inspired by Reggio Emilia's philosophy. It is the child's needs, interests, thoughts, and theories that should shape our goal-oriented teaching.

The children's learning processes are made visible, processed, and further challenged with the help of pedagogical documentation. The curiosity of the children and yourself is utilized to develop a learning organization in reflections and other common forums. In these common forums, we work with the unit's focus area “leading together for sustainable development through pedagogical relationships, play, and movement,” which we connect to current research, theory, and practice. We place great importance on close and professional collaboration within the preschool and with guardians.

You understand the importance of leveraging your colleagues' strengths and competencies to form a strong team with the children's best interests in focus.

Your competence and experience

We are looking for you who are an educated Finnish-speaking childcare worker and who has experience working as a childcare worker. We seek a childcare worker with high relational competence who is passionate about joy of movement, outdoor pedagogy, and has knowledge of exploratory working methods.
